About the NewRoads LakeRide

Southlake’s Mental Health Program has seen more than 1,000 adult inpatient admissions and more than 33,500 adult outpatient visits. Child and adolescent patients have also made up more than 9,600 outpatient visits, and nearly 7,000 eating disorder visits.

In 2020, we partnered with the Foundation to launch a very different version of the NewRoads LakeRide. Temporarily branded the NewRoads #RideTogetherApart in support of the Mental Health program at Southlake Regional Health Centre, this virtual individual cycling event was the first of its kind and held an overwhelming drive to raise awareness and support for Mental Health in the face of COVID-19.

This event quickly attracted attention, and within three weeks we saw 12 teams, 200 cyclists and over 100 donors raising $30,000. We are very much looking to provide an opportunity to get out and ride safely this year and we're asking for your help again as we announce the return of our cycling event. The NewRoads LakeRide  for Mental Health has a new date, Sunday, September 25, 2022.
