Please join me in supporting our hospital, Southlake Regional Health Centre!
I’m participating in the Nature’s Emporium Run for Southlake to raise vital funds for patient care. Southlake has been vital to the health care needs of me and my family for many years. My grandparents and dad all received professional care in their final days with us.
Now, more than ever, our hospital needs our help to make sure that every patient gets the care they deserve, when they need it most. Did you know the government does not provide funding for most new or replacement hospital tools and equipment? Everything from basic tools like beds and IV poles to state-of-the-art surgical and diagnostic equipment is funded entirely through community support. It's our turn to support those who have supported so many during very challenging times.
I’m fundraising because I want to make sure that my friends and family can depend on Southlake for the best possible care close to home. I am walking my first 5K to honor my dad who passed away last March. He was cared for by the amazing staff in the Heart Function Clinic who in turn supported our family as we faced the hardest thing we have ever dealt with.
I have made some changes in my life to hopefully build a healthier future for myself. I have spent many years ignoring my health and since January 2021, I have promised myself that my health would become my priority and it has. I appreciate the support of my family and friends as I take this on this emotional, yet exciting journey. And to my dear friends who are pounding the pavement with me, thank you for pushing me and being such a source of incredible support.
If you would like to donate to my personal fundraising goal in the 5K walk for Southlake, please see the link below and thank you!
