This cause is personal for me. My brother Hugh received cancer treatment and palliative care at Southlake during his two-year journey. Our family experienced firsthand the compassion, dignity, and care the hospital staff provide during the moments that matter most. Many people don't realize that government funding does not cover most new or replacement hospital equipment - such as beds, diagnostic tools, and advanced treatment equipment.... they have to be funded largely through community support.
