I’m participating in the Nature’s Emporium Run for Southlake to raise vital funds for patient care.
Now, more than ever, our hospital needs our help to make sure that every patient gets the care they deserve, when they need it most. Everything from basic tools like beds and IV poles to state-of-the-art surgical and diagnostic equipment is funded entirely through community support.
In addition to supporting the replacement and upgrades of supplies and equipment to better serve our community, Team Cancer Centre Cruisers is committed to raising money for our Patient Support Fund which helps support cancer patients get the vital treatment they need. This fund is used as an emergency support when patients have no other place to turn financially for help. Given the current economic times, there has never been more need for this fund as we have doubled the amount we have spent in previous years to ensure our patient have equitable access to care!
I’m fundraising because I have seen both personally and professionally the impact of a cancer diagnosis has on the patient, and their family.
