Friends,
This September, I’m proud to take part in the Be A Hero Head Shave in support of pediatric oncology at Southlake Regional Health Centre.
On Saturday, September 20 at 11:00 a.m. at Upper Canada Mall, members of York Regional Police will stand together to raise awareness and funds for children battling cancer.
This year’s Child Ambassador is Alice—a brave 7-year-old who is heading into Grade 2. Alice is a cancer survivor of Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Throughout her journey, she received incredible care and support at Southlake’s POGO Clinic, where children and families can access world-class cancer treatment close to home.
Alice is the granddaughter of retired YRP member Kathy Kruger and the daughter of Jacquie, a serving member with South Simcoe Police. Her strength, courage, and resilience remind us why this cause is so important.
The POGO Clinic at Southlake ensures that children like Alice don’t have to travel far during the most difficult times—they can get the lifesaving treatment they need right here in our community.
I invite my LinkedIn community to join me in supporting this important cause. Every donation makes a difference, and together we can bring hope, strength, and healing to children like Alice.
Thank you for your support and for being a hero for all the kids who will benefit from your generosity.
With Gratitude,
Chairman and CEO
