Dear Friends and Colleagues,
On Saturday, September 20 at 11:00 a.m. at Upper Canada Mall, I will be shaving my head alongside members of Central York Fire Services, York Regional Police, York Region Paramedic Services as part of the Be A Hero Head Shave in support of pediatric oncology at Southlake Regional Health Centre.
This year’s Child Ambassador is Alice—a brave 7-year-old heading into Grade 2 and a cancer survivor of Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Alice received incredible care and support at Southlake’s POGO Clinic, where children and families can access world-class cancer treatment close to home.
The POGO Clinic ensures children like Alice don’t have to travel far during the most difficult times—they can receive the lifesaving treatment they need right here in our community.
Every donation makes a difference. Together, we can bring hope, strength, and healing to children like Alice.
Thank you for your generosity—and for being a hero for the kids who need it most.
With gratitude,John Taylor Mayor of Newmarket
