This September, I?m proud to take part in the Be a Hero Headshave in support of pediatric oncology at Southlake Health.
I will be shaving my head in support of Alice and all children that have received treatment at the Southlake Pediatric Oncology Clinic.
On Saturday, September 20 at 11:00 a.m. at Upper Canada Mall, members of Central York Fire Services, York Regional Police, York Region Paramedic Services, will stand together to raise awareness and funds for children battling cancer.
This year?s Child Ambassador is Alice?a brave 7-year-old who is heading into Grade 2. Alice is a cancer survivor of Hodgkin?s lymphoma. Throughout her journey, she received incredible care and support at Southlake?s POGO Clinic, where children and families can access world-class cancer treatment close to home.
The POGO Clinic at Southlake ensures that children like Alice don?t have to travel far during the most difficult times?they can get the lifesaving treatment they need right here in our community.
Thank you for your support and for being a hero for all the kids who will benefit from your generosity.
