Wilfred Hunter Goodman at age 64 passed away on Saturday September 6, 2025, with his best friend and wife of 41 years, Meg (nee Carruthers) at his side. Wilf was the proud and devoted father of Michael (Alexandra), Katie, and Jamie (Natalie), adoring “GG” (Grandfather) to Will and Henry and loyal companion to Webber, his 6-year-old Black Lab.
Wilf grew up in Lawrence Park and spent his weekends with a chainsaw in his hand at Vanaheim, his family farm in Shelburne Ontario. He was the youngest son of the late Dr. Wilfred and Gwenneth Goodman and much-loved brother to Gwenda (Hans), Rick (Eleanor), Stephan (Christine), and Ainslie (Andrew). He was the “number one” son in law to Bruce and Carolyn Carruthers, a dedicated brother in-law to Ann (Greg), Keith (Vicki), Jane and Pat (Murray) and a loving uncle to 22 nieces and nephews. Family was at the centre of everything for Wilf. He cherished his large, close-knit family and time together around the dinner table. His legacy lives on in the people he loved and in the countless lives he touched with his kindness and encouragement.
