Atticus Annual Charity Golf Tournament

Atticus was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in February of 2019. The first year was filled with many trips to Emerge, Southlake Regional Health Centre and Sick Kids. There are many stressful days and sleepless nights, a rollercoaster of emotions filled with hope, defeat, worry, and at times relief.

Atti has seen more medication and treatments during his first year, than many would in a lifetime. This year, we celebrated the end of treatment by ringing the Be A Hero, Bell while at Southlake’s Paediatric Oncology Clinic – with our family and some of his team at the clinic.  The Atticus Annual Golf Tournament is one way for us to continue to celebrate, by bringing awareness and to give back where we can.

It is your heartfelt donations that make this tournament possible and the care to children, like Atti, when they need it most.  Knowing everything that Atti has gone through, and all of the medical attention he has received has us feeling many things. But one thing is certain, we are feeling GRATEFUL.

We can’t stress enough the importance of donating in celebration of the help Atti received and to continue to help children in need. Nothing could ever repay the care provided to him, and to thousands of others.

Donations support Southlake’s Paediatric Oncology Clinic in expanding more comprehensive paediatric oncology care by increasing patient visits by 20 percent and broadening the scope of chemotherapy treatments for children like in our communities like Atticus, who are diagnosed with cancer.
